For the sake of clean lines and practicality, we believe that ultrafine, hand-guided stitching by specially modified vintage machines—which requires a superior skill level than hand-stitching—is the most appropriate method for sewing a shirt.
We sew with the finest machine stitch standard that is feasible for each shirt and use the highest quality cotton and silk threads available. Indeed, our small stitch standard can only be realized on high yarn-count fabrics and interlinings—if cheaper materials were used, the stitches would cut through the fabrics.
Nonetheless, we do offer optional hand-sewn finishing mainly for sleevehead closures, buttonholes and button attachments.
Our embroideries are strictly handmade and can be enhanced with a special emboss effect.
We use exclusively mother of pearl buttons, available in a select number of diameters and thicknesses.
